78 / 79 Upper George's Street are two period buildings which have been beautifully restored and opened into one interconnecting unit. With over 6000 square feet of space the now purpose built school offers a unique blend of size and use.

The two houses hosted several different capacities in their 120 years or so.  From upmarket separate private houses for wealthy owners to high end 5 star restaurants. More recently it was also used for IT companies and also a  Medical research center. In the early part of the 20 century the two house were actually a school for 3rd level students who studied Technical Drawing and Draftsmanship.

Rockford Manor belongs to a word-wide community of educational service reaching back to the founding of the Presentation Congregation by Nano Nagle in the 18th century.

The present school was established in 1958 and has been serving Blackrock / Dun Laoghaire and the surrounding areas for almost 50 years.

The size of the school is unique in its catchment area enabling us to provide quality courses close to our extensive range of Host families accommodation to a wide and varied mix of nationalities including Irish students.

FULLY EQUIPPED gymnasium with facilities for volleyball, badminton, table tennis, snooker, basketball, indoor football, chess and board games, The arts and crafts studio is a very popular activity for many students. The centres also boasts muli-terminal computer laboratories and a fully equipped kitchen with 12 work stations. Outdoor facilities include all weather tennis courts, football, basketball, baseball and rounders. A state of the art leisure centre is across the road from both our junior summer centres with a fully heated indoor swimming pool, indoor gymnasium and outdoor full football all weather pitches. It also includes an up to date skateboard and rollerblade ring.
