Since 1989, Active Language Learning has offered French,
German and Spanish to Irish teenagers and English to foreign students
during the months of July and August. The centre is located at the Christian
Brothers College, Monkstown Park, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. Situated
on approximately 20 acres of private parkland, near the village of Monkstown,
the College has easy access by Dart and bus.

Programme
Our programme consists of 3 hours tuition each morning,
3 hours sports and activities each afternoon, 3 evenings' programme each
week and full day excursion each weekend.
Examination Preparation
All our programmes are designed to prepare students to their maximum
potential for success in both the Oral and Written Junior and Leaving
Certificate examinations.
Foreign Student Integration
The opportunity to meet and mix with young foreign students is an integral
part of the College philosophy and is provided for through the foreign
students studying English in the tuition periods and all nationalities
taking part together in all afternoon sports, activities, excursions and
evening programmes.
Accommodation
Students from outside the greater Dublin area are accommodated
in carefully selected families who live locally. This gives them the opportunity
of sharing their host family with a foreign student. Students are regarded
as a member of the family and full board is provided.
